You’ll work directly with seasoned professionals, put your classroom learning to work in a real-world environment, and participate in enrichment activities, including interactions with senior leadership, community volunteering events, and networking with interns from other Hanford Site contractors.
Co-Op Internships
H2C partners with Washington State University Tri-Cities and Columbia Basin College to offer year-round Co-Op opportunities for students who want deeper, longer term industry experience. These roles allow interns to work through the academic year supporting real project work. These positions are typically posted in the fall shortly after school resumes from summer break and throughout the year as business needs arise.
Summer Internships
H2C’s summer internship program provides 10-12 weeks of full-time, hands-on experience for college students from accredited institutions. Interns work 40 hours per week on real projects, participate in professional development events, and engage in activities such as networking breakfasts, Hanford Site tours, volunteer opportunities, mock interviews, and end-of-summer presentations. Participants gain practical skills, industry exposure, and connections with leaders across H2C – making this a meaningful launchpad for early career professionals. Summer internships are typically posted late in the year and remain open for approximately two months, with applications generally closing early in the new year.
